Renshaw again, then Cummins

Matt Renshaw, who made a patient 190 in the first innings, scored a brisk 82 off 99 balls as Australia went after quick runs to give themselves time to bowl South Africa out, AFP reported via ARY News. The 30-year-old was in sight of a second hundred in the match when Keshav Maharaj held a diving, juggling return catch that had to be confirmed on review.

Captain Pat Cummins then walked in and hit four sixes in 32 not out off 12 balls before declaring.

Bad light is the other opponent

Bad light has already cost 49 overs over the first three days, and AFP said it was likely to be a factor again: a nominal 144 overs remained in the match when Australia declared. That gives South Africa two routes to safety, batting out time or hoping the light closes in, while Australia need nine more wickets.

The fifth and final day is on Tuesday.

Why Pakistani fans are watching

Both teams are Pakistan's rivals in the World Test Championship, so the result shapes the table Pakistan are chasing.
