How the final was won
West Indies won the toss and chose to bowl, according to the tournament's match page. England's innings rested on two men. Moeen Ali top-scored with 60 off 39 balls and Owais Shah finished unbeaten on 38, but England lost seven wickets and never got going against the West Indies attack.
Dwayne Bravo took 3 for 21 and was named player of the match. It was the second time in the tournament he had troubled England: in the group game earlier this month he took 2 for 24.
The chase was never in doubt. Lendl Simmons made 77 off 53 balls and Chadwick Walton an unbeaten 58 off 35. Only one wicket fell, and West Indies won with 18 balls left.

Why Pakistan were missing
This was the third season of the WCL, a T20 tournament for retired internationals. Pakistan Champions did not take part: they withdrew before the tournament after the Pakistan Cricket Board refused No Objection Certificates to the players, which cancelled the India Champions vs Pakistan Champions game set for 10 October. The background is in our story: Pakistan Champions pull out of World Championship of Legends 2026 after PCB refuses NOCs.
That left six teams in the competition.
