New Zealand ODI squad vs India: Finn Allen, Lockie Ferguson and Tim Seifert return, Rachin Ravindra back

New Zealand have recalled Finn Allen, Lockie Ferguson and Tim Seifert for the five-match ODI series against India in November, and Rachin Ravindra returns from a shoulder injury, Business Recorder reported on Sunday. Mitchell Santner captains both squads.

Allen and Ferguson have not played a 50-over match for New Zealand since 2023; Seifert's last ODI was in 2025.

Two squads for five ODIs

First three ODIs (14): Mitchell Santner (capt), Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Devon Conway, Jacob Duffy, Matt Henry, Kyle Jamieson, Tom Latham, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, Nathan Smith, Will Young, Blair Tickner.

Fourth and fifth ODIs (13): Mitchell Santner (capt), Finn Allen, Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Kristian Clarke, Jacob Duffy, Matt Fisher, Lockie Ferguson, Mitch Hay, Nick Kelly, Tim Seifert, Blair Tickner, Will Young.

Seven players join after the third ODI: Allen, Clarke, Ferguson, Fisher, Hay, Kelly and Seifert. Some of the first group leave early to prepare for the two Tests that follow.

India's tour of New Zealand

Ravindra is out of the T20Is after dislocating his right shoulder during a promotional shoot, but is fit in time for the ODIs.

What the coach said

Head coach Rob Walter said New Zealand were "incredibly lucky" to have 21 players involved, and that the ODIs are preparation for the ODI World Cup, a year away. The Tests carry World Test Championship points, which is why some players will leave early.
