Women's T20 World Cup 2028 in Pakistan from 7 September to 1 October; men's event in Australia and New Zealand from 12 October
The ICC has confirmed dates for its 2028 to 2030 events. Pakistan hosts 12 teams in the women's T20 World Cup, and the men's tournament starts 11 days after the final.
Pakistan will host the ICC Women's T20 World Cup from 7 September to 1 October 2028, with 12 teams, under the ICC's newly confirmed events calendar, ARY News reported on Friday. Eleven days after the women's final, the men's T20 World Cup 2028 starts in Australia and New Zealand, running from 12 October to 12 November with 20 teams.
The dates were agreed at ICC meetings in Dubai earlier this month and sent to member boards. They fill in the calendar between the 2027 and 2031 men's ODI World Cups.

What it means for Pakistan
Pakistan was confirmed as host of the women's event earlier, and these are the first firm dates. A September start avoids the worst of the summer heat in Lahore and Karachi but falls in the tail of the monsoon, so the PCB's choice of venues will matter. The board has not yet named host cities or published a match schedule; we will add them to our Pakistan women's team page when it does.
For fans planning to watch the men's tournament from home, Australia and New Zealand are well ahead of Pakistan time: an evening match in Sydney (7pm local in October, during Australian daylight saving) starts at 1pm PKT, and an afternoon game in Auckland starts early morning in Pakistan. Day games in New Zealand usually fall between 3am and 7am PKT.
The rest of the calendar
The World Test Championship final in June 2029 in England will decide the 2027-29 cycle between the top two teams in the table. The 2030 men's T20 World Cup in England, Ireland and Scotland has been pushed from June into July and August.
The ICC has also confirmed that qualifiers for cricket at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics will be held in January and February 2028, ESPNcricinfo reported.
