Eiffel Scholarship 2027 for Pakistani students: up to EUR 2,100 a month for a PhD in France, apply through a French university
You cannot apply yourself: a French university must nominate you to Campus France. The institutions' deadline is reported as 6 January 2027, so the time to contact them is now.
The Eiffel Scholarship 2027 is open to Pakistani students for a master's or PhD in France, with a monthly allowance of EUR 1,200 for a master's and EUR 2,100 for a PhD, ProPakistani reported on Sunday 11 October 2026. At today's euro rate of Rs 310.39, that is roughly Rs 372,000 a month for a master's student and Rs 652,000 for a doctoral student.
The programme is run by France's Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and managed by Campus France.
The one rule most people miss: you do not apply yourself
Only a French university or school can put you forward. It must first select or admit you, then send your file to Campus France, as Campus France's own Eiffel page states. So the real deadline for you is the one your chosen French institution sets internally, and that is usually well before the national one.
- Institutions' deadline: 6 January 2027, according to ProPakistani. (For the 2026 round, Campus France's deadline was 8 January 2026.) Campus France has not yet published the 2027 calendar on its page, so confirm the date with your university.
- Results: expected the week of 12 April 2027, ProPakistani reported.
Who can be nominated
- Age: up to 29 for a master's, up to 35 for a PhD, Campus France says.
- Nationality: international students, Pakistanis included. Students who already hold French nationality are not eligible.
- Academics: you must meet the admission requirements of the French institution and any extra rules of the programme.
What it pays and for how long
| Level | Monthly allowance | Approx. in rupees | Funding period |
|---|---|---|---|
| Master's, 1st year | EUR 1,200 | Rs 372,000 | up to 24 months |
| Master's, 2nd year entry | EUR 1,200 | Rs 372,000 | up to 12 months |
| Engineering degree | EUR 1,200 | Rs 372,000 | up to 36 months |
| PhD (joint supervision or co-tutelle) | EUR 2,100 | Rs 652,000 | 12 to 36 months |
Tuition fees are not covered. The scholarship may add travel support, insurance, help with housing and cultural activities, ProPakistani reported. The PhD strand is for joint supervision or dual-degree arrangements between a French institution and one abroad, such as a Pakistani university.
How to go about it, step by step
- Shortlist French programmes in your field and check their admission deadlines (many close in December or January).
- Write to the international relations or admissions office of each one and ask whether it will nominate candidates for Eiffel 2027 and by when it needs your documents.
- Apply for admission with transcripts, an English or French language certificate as the programme requires, a CV and a statement of purpose. Get your degrees attested by HEC first.
- For a PhD, agree a supervisor in France and one in Pakistan before the university files.
- Keep copies of everything you send; the university uploads the file to Campus France.
