Registration for the second KMU CAT 2026 closes on Monday 28 September. Khyber Medical University's Centralized Admission Test is the entry test for its BS health sciences seats, and if you missed the July sitting or want a better score, this is the next chance. A third sitting follows in November.

KMU CAT 2026 dates

2nd CAT4 October 202628 September 2026

These are the dates on the KMU CAT portal (cat.kmu.edu.pk). ProPakistani, reporting the schedule on 24 September, puts the second sitting across 3 and 4 October and the third across 7 and 8 November, so check your admit card for your own slot.

Which programmes need it

The test is for undergraduate programmes at KMU's constituent and affiliated institutes: BS Allied Health Sciences (paramedics), Public Health, Nursing, DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy), Pharm-D, BS Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology, Audiology, Prosthetics and Orthotics, Vision Sciences and Clinical Psychology.

It is not the MDCAT. MBBS and BDS seats still go through the PMDC's MDCAT, which is a separate test. If that is your route, our MDCAT aggregate calculator shows how your matric, FSc and test marks combine.

Who can sit it

  • FSc Pre-Medical or an equivalent qualification.
  • Candidates still waiting for their FSc result can register.
  • You must register on your own CNIC or B-Form. KMU says applications on another person's CNIC are not accepted.

The test

  • Computer-based, 100 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes.
  • No negative marking, so answer every question.
  • Syllabus follows the PMDC guidelines.

Where you can sit it

Sixteen centres: Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, Malakand, Swat, Lower Dir, Upper Dir, Parachinar, Islamabad, Abbottabad, Kohat, Bannu, D.I. Khan, Haripur, Chitral and Buner. KMU says a centre with fewer than 500 candidates may be merged into the nearest one, so do not book travel until your admit card names the venue.

What to do this week

  1. Register at cat.kmu.edu.pk before 28 September with your CNIC or B-Form and a passport-size photo. The fee is shown on the portal when you apply.
