KP orders students moved out of dangerous school buildings at once; only unsafe rooms to be sealed
The order says only the unsafe portions of buildings declared dangerous will be vacated and sealed, not whole schools.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Department has ordered the immediate relocation of students from dilapidated and dangerous school buildings, ARY News reported on 1 November.
What the letter tells District Education Officers
- Students in unsafe buildings must be shifted right away to secure classrooms.
- They can be placed in safe sections of the same school or in nearby government schools.
- Where no government space exists, rented buildings may be arranged so lessons continue.
- Only the unsafe rooms and portions of buildings declared dangerous are to be vacated and sealed; entire buildings need not be emptied.
- The Communication and Works Department and technical experts identified the dangerous buildings and sections.
- DEOs must take immediate measures for safety and alternative arrangements so teaching is not disrupted.
What parents can do
Ask the head teacher whether your child's classroom is on the unsafe list and where the class has been moved. If a class is still meeting in a room that looks cracked or sagging, report it to the District Education Officer's office in writing.
The report does not say how many buildings or students are affected, and we have not seen the letter itself. We will add numbers when the department publishes them. More on schools and exams is on our education desk.
Frequently asked questions
