Sindh Literature Festival 2026 at Mohatta Palace, Karachi, on 21 and 22 November
The ninth edition moves to the Clifton landmark for two days of Sindhi literature, music, poetry and talks.

The ninth Sindh Literature Festival will be held on 21 and 22 November 2026 at Mohatta Palace in Clifton, Karachi, the festival announced on its official Instagram account, as The Express Tribune reported. The palace, built in the late 1920s for the businessman Rai Bahadur Seth Shivratan Mohatta, is now a museum and a protected monument of the Sindh government.
What to expect
The full programme, speakers, timings and entry rules have not been announced yet. Past editions have run panel discussions, book launches, poetry readings (mushairas), theatre and music, with a focus on Sindhi literature, indigenous languages, history and the arts. We will add the programme here when the organisers publish it on the festival's website.
Who it is for
The festival is open to readers, students, writers and families, and sessions in past years have mixed Sindhi, Urdu and English. If you are new to Sindhi literature, the poetry sessions and book launches are the easiest way in.
