PIA Islamabad to Birmingham flights from 1 December: three a week on a Boeing 777

Pakistan International Airlines will fly between Islamabad and Birmingham three times a week from 1 December 2026, ProPakistani reported on Wednesday. The route gives the large Pakistani community in the West Midlands, much of it with roots in Azad Kashmir and the Potohar region, a direct link to the capital.

Timings

Times are local. In December the UK is on GMT, five hours behind Pakistan, so the 4 pm arrival is 9 pm in Pakistan. Flights will use a Boeing 777.

Why it matters

Birmingham has one of the largest British Pakistani populations in the UK. Until now, travellers from the Midlands have mostly flown PIA from Manchester or London, or taken connecting flights through the Gulf. A direct service saves a long road journey on the UK side and a change of planes on the way.

What is not known yet

The report gives the flight numbers, days, times and aircraft. It does not give fares, the date bookings open, the baggage allowance or whether the flights stop anywhere on the way; the flying times suggest they are non-stop. We will update this page when PIA publishes them. If you plan to travel over the UK's Christmas school holidays, book as soon as seats are on sale.
