Redmi K100 launches in China on 27 October with Snapdragon 8 Elite and 165Hz screen

Xiaomi will launch the Redmi K100 in China on 27 October 2026, the company has confirmed in an official announcement and promotional images, ARY News reported. It is the standard model in the K100 line, which already has Pro versions on sale.

Xiaomi has not announced the battery, charging speed, camera sensors or price. Those usually arrive at the launch event itself.

Why the chip choice matters

The Snapdragon 8 Elite was Qualcomm's flagship chip in late 2024, not its newest. Putting it in a 2026 phone is how Redmi keeps the price below this year's flagships while still beating most mid-range phones at gaming. The separate D2 chip is meant to help with frame rates and display processing, and the 165Hz screen and very high touch sampling are aimed at players of fast games such as PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty Mobile.

Will it come to Pakistan?

Not as a Redmi, on past form. Xiaomi has previously sold K-series phones outside China under the Poco name, and ARY notes that the K100 Pro models went global as the Poco F9 Pro and F9 Ultra, so a Poco version of this phone is possible. Nothing has been announced for Pakistan.
