Saudi Arabia adds Mexico, Serbia, North Macedonia and Bosnia to tourist e-visa list
Citizens of the four countries can now apply online for a Saudi tourist visa that also allows Umrah. Pakistan is not among them.
Saudi Arabia has added four countries to its electronic tourist visa programme: Mexico, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Saudi Ministry of Tourism announced, Asharq Al-Awsat and ProPakistani reported on Friday, 6 November 2026.
Citizens of the four countries can now apply online for a tourist visit visa instead of going through an embassy. Pakistan is not on the new list.
What the Saudi tourist visa allows
The ministry said the tourist visa lets holders:
- travel for tourism,
- perform Umrah,
- attend events, exhibitions and conferences,
- visit relatives and friends,
all in line with the kingdom's rules. The ministry said the move is part of a wider effort to make travel to Saudi Arabia easier for visitors worldwide.
What it means for Pakistanis
The change does not alter anything for holders of the ordinary green Pakistani passport. Pakistanis going for Umrah or a family visit should keep using the routes already open to them and check the official Saudi visa portal before paying any agent. Beware of agents who claim Pakistan has been added: the four countries named by the ministry are the whole list.

Background
Saudi Arabia launched its tourist e-visa in 2019 and has steadily widened the list of eligible nationalities as part of its plan to grow tourism. Each addition is announced by the Ministry of Tourism.
