NTS result check online by CNIC or roll number: 2026 dates, portal and queries

Every NTS result, whether it is a NAT for university admission, a GAT for MS or PhD, or a recruitment test for a bank, court or hospital, is published on one page: nts.org.pk, Results & Answer Keys. What changes from test to test is the box you type into. Some results open with your roll number or CNIC, the NAT pages ask for your CNIC only, and the newest tests (NAT 2026-IX, GAT Subject 2026-V, several recruitment drives) show the result only inside the NTS candidate portal, where you log in with your CNIC and password.

This guide covers all three, with the 2026 result dates NTS has published, the fees, and what to do when your result does not show. Everything below was checked on nts.org.pk on 28 September 2026.

Quick answer: NTS result check in 60 seconds

1. Open https://www.nts.org.pk/new/Allresults.php (Home menu, then "Results & Answer Keys").
2. Stay on the Results tab. Tests are listed newest first, each with the organisation's name, the post or programme, and the test date.
3. Find your test by name and test date (many organisations hold several tests a year) and click Details.
4. Type your roll number or CNIC with dashes, in the format 11111-1111111-1, then the picture code (captcha), and press Submit.
5. If Details takes you to portal.nts.org.pk/login instead, sign in with your CNIC (or passport number) and the password you made when you applied. The result sits in your account under that project.
6. Save or print the result card. Universities ask for a copy of it with the admission form.

Which of the three methods applies to your test

If you have lost your portal password, use Forgot Password? on the login page. Sign in with the same account you applied from: the result is attached to that application.

NTS result dates for 2026

NTS publishes a fixed calendar for its own tests. The dates below are from the NAT, GAT General and GAT Subject pages on nts.org.pk. The "result" column is the date NTS says the result goes up on its website.

*NTS's own table lists these roll number slip dates after the test date, so check the portal for your slip at least a week before the test.

Recruitment and university tests have no fixed calendar. The client organisation decides when a result is released. On the current results page, gaps range from one day (COMSATS Wah campus test on 12 August 2026, result 13 August) and three days (National Grid Company test on 9 August, result 12 August) to more than five months (State Bank tests held in February 2026, results announced 22 July 2026).

Fees and how long a result counts

Fees are paid on the 1Bill invoice from the NTS portal through 1Link banks, ATMs, internet and mobile banking, Easypaisa, JazzCash or TCS Express counters; bank service charges are shown on the slip. NTS says candidates with a NADRA disability certificate are exempt from the fee (international tests excluded). If your GAT score is too low for the programme you want, NTS allows you to sit the test again to improve it.

A NAT result is accepted by the universities on NTS's associated list, which includes Quaid-i-Azam University, COMSATS, FAST (all campuses), GCU Faisalabad, IIUI (selected departments), Fatima Jinnah Women University and NAMAL. Check the university's own admission notice for the minimum score.

Answer keys and merit lists

The results page has two more tabs next to Results:

• Answer Keys: published for many recruitment tests (the Sindh High Court test of 23 August 2026 and the BUITEMS and NGC tests have keys up now). Compare the key with what you remember marking before you raise a query.
• Merit Lists: some clients publish their shortlist through NTS; others publish it on their own website. The NTS result tells you your marks, not whether you were selected.

Result not showing? Work through this

1. Check the test date, not just the name. COMSATS, Air University, AQ Khan Institute and others each have several tests listed. Opening the wrong one will not find your record.
2. Type the CNIC exactly with dashes (11111-1111111-1).
3. Try the roll number if the page accepts either. It is on your roll number slip, which NTS uploads at least 7 days before the test.
4. Look in the portal. If the Details link goes to portal.nts.org.pk, there is no public search page for that test.
5. Wait for the announced date. NTS's own NAT and GAT results come out on the calendar date above, not the day after the test.
6. Do not rely on the SMS. NTS says it sends SMS alerts but delivery is not guaranteed, messages to ported numbers are restricted, and you will not receive them if you blocked promotional SMS through PTA's 3627 service.

Objections and rechecking

NTS handles result queries by email to query@nts.org.pk, and each test has its own deadline. For the National Grid Company test of 23 August 2026, for example, the results page says queries about marks had to reach NTS by 4 September 2026, and that nothing after that date would be considered. Read the note printed with your result on the same day: if there is a window, it is usually short.

Put your name, CNIC, roll number, the test name and date, and the exact question numbers you dispute in the email. Attach the answer key entry if one is published.

Common mistakes

• Opening a result on a copycat website that asks for your CNIC and phone number. Results are only on nts.org.pk and portal.nts.org.pk.
• Waiting for the SMS instead of checking the website.
• Using a ported mobile number on the application.
• Letting a NAT score expire: it counts for one year, while GAT General and Subject scores count for two.
• Missing the query deadline because you checked the result a week late.
