EA Sports has confirmed that its Fight Night boxing video game series is coming back. The publisher posted on its @EASPORTSFN account on 20 October an image of boxing gloves hanging over a ring with the line: "To everyone who stayed in our corner: Fight Night is coming back," Sherdog reported.

EA gave no release date, no platforms, no price and no title. All that is confirmed is that the series, dormant since Fight Night Champion in 2011, will return.

The history

Fight Night was EA's flagship boxing game through the 2000s. EA Canada made the original Fight Night in 2004, Fight Night Round 4 and Fight Night Champion; the now-closed EA Chicago studio made Rounds 2 and 3 before it shut in 2007, according to Sherdog. EA's combat-sports focus since then has been its UFC series, built by EA Canada with SkyBox Labs.

What we do not know yet

For gamers in Pakistan

Console games are priced in dollars on the digital stores, so the rupee cost will depend on the exchange rate on the day you buy. When EA announces a price, our currency converter gives the rupee figure, and the dollar rate page shows today's rate.
