Man City 0-1 Brighton: Ayari goal sinks City; Bournemouth win sixth in a row, Coventry climb out of the drop zone

It made Halloween a bad day for both Manchester clubs: earlier, Chelsea beat 10-man Manchester United 2-0. Results are from The Guardian's live clockwatch and BBC Sport.

The talking points
- Brighton's revenge: captain Lewis Dunk, who missed the decisive penalty in midweek, kept a clean sheet and praised manager Fabian Hurzeler as a future coach "at the very top", The Guardian reported.
- Lisandro Martinez's 83 seconds: already booked, the United defender fouled Wesley Fofana at a corner, conceded a penalty and was sent off after a VAR review, with 27 minutes of normal time left. He will miss next Sunday's home game against Aston Villa. BBC Sport called it a meltdown; Michael Carrick said he had not seen it back. Our full Chelsea 2-0 Man United report has the details.
- Bournemouth's run: a sixth successive win, set up when Leeds goalkeeper James Trafford gave the ball away for Justin Kluivert to create Evanilson's fifth goal in six matches.
- Relegation fight: Frank Lampard's Coventry, with Tatsuhiro Sakamoto scoring his first Premier League goal, climbed out of the bottom three and left Sunderland bottom. Sunderland's Alderete was sent off in stoppage time.
- Hull kept their unbeaten home record but are still waiting for a win after Julio Enciso's equaliser.
Watching from Pakistan
Saturday 3pm UK games now start at 8pm PKT, since UK clocks went back on 25 October and Pakistan is five hours ahead. Sunday's games follow the same gap. Our Man United 0-3 Bournemouth report covers how United reached this run.
