Manchester United came from 2-0 down to beat AS Roma 3-2 at Old Trafford on Tuesday night, with Matheus Cunha scoring twice late in the second half, as Matchday 4 of the 2026/27 Champions League also brought a record-breaking 6-0 PSG win at Villarreal and a 2-0 Bayern Munich win at Atlético Madrid. The matches finished in the early hours of Wednesday, Pakistan time.

Man United end a two-month wait for a win

United went into the match 20th in the league phase table with one win from three games, winless in nine matches in all competitions, and with head coach Michael Carrick under pressure less than six months into his contract, the Associated Press reported before kick-off.

Roma went 2-0 up and some United fans threw tennis balls onto the pitch in protest, ESPN reported. A Bruno Fernandes penalty started the comeback, and Cunha's two goals finished it. It was United's first win since 10 September. "Today was one of those days that Old Trafford came alive," Fernandes told Amazon Prime after the game. United play Aston Villa at home in the Premier League on Sunday.

PSG score four in 16 minutes

Holders Paris Saint-Germain set a Champions League record for the fastest four goals, going 4-0 up against Villarreal in 16 minutes and two seconds, according to ESPN, before finishing 6-0.

Barcelona end Villa's perfect start

Aston Villa arrived in Barcelona second in the table with maximum points from three games. A Villa mistake gave Lamine Yamal the opener and Raphinha scored twice, which takes him to 23 Champions League goals for Barcelona, level with Robert Lewandowski and behind only Luis Suárez (25) and Lionel Messi (120). No English side has won at Barcelona's home ground in 16 visits since Liverpool in 2007, ESPN noted.

Bayern win in Madrid without a Kane goal

Bayern beat Atlético 2-0 in Madrid with goals from Lennart Karl and Konrad Laimer, BBC Sport reported. Ballon d'Or winner Harry Kane played but did not score for a third game in a row in all competitions.
