Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra dummy unit leaks: new camera island, one fewer lens, room for magnets

A dummy unit of the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra, built from leaked CAD files, shows a redesigned camera island with one fewer camera than the Galaxy S26 Ultra, GSMArena reported. The same source leaked CAD-based renders in August. Samsung has not announced the phone, and a dummy is a case-maker's model with no screen, battery or parts inside, so treat this as a leak, not a launch.

What the leak shows

• New camera island. It carries one camera fewer than the S26 Ultra. GSMArena says it may remind people of the iPhone 18 Pro.
• Room for magnets. The layout leaves space for magnets, which could let MagSafe-style accessories attach properly, and should reduce wobbling when the phone lies flat on a table.
• Familiar frame. Centre punch-hole selfie camera, power and volume keys on the right, USB-C, SIM tray, speaker and the S Pen slot at the bottom.
• New cases needed. S26 Ultra cases do not fit, even though the camera positions barely change.

Case companies get these details early so they can design cases in time for launch, and some makers send dummy units themselves.
