Nora EV has revised the prices of its electric cars in Pakistan, with the range now starting at Rs 1,899,999 for the E-30 ECO and topping out at Rs 2,899,999 for the METRO Deluxe, Business Recorder reported on Thursday. The new list comes from a circular dated 20 October that chief commercial officer Muhammad Asim Rasheed sent to all dealers.

All six prices exclude GST, transport and transit insurance. Nora EV launched in Pakistan earlier this year and is the first EV sold here that lets you swap its battery.

The REEV versions (range-extended electric vehicles) carry a small petrol generator that charges the battery, which is why their claimed range is longer. The ranges are the company's own claims, not independent tests.

Read the small print before you book

The circular, as reported by Business Recorder, says:

  • the prices are provisional and subject to change without prior notice;
  • the price at the time of invoicing is the one you pay, not the price on the day you book;
  • deliveries are first come, first served;
  • any increase caused by government tax or tariff changes, or by a fall in the rupee, is passed on to the customer.

That last point matters this month. The draft Auto Policy 2026-31 keeps sales tax on battery electric cars at 1% but proposes 6% for REEVs and 9% for plug-in hybrids, Dawn reported on Thursday, citing Topline Securities. Industry estimates in the same report put REEVs about 3% dearer under the draft. If you are choosing between an E-30 and its REEV twin, ask the dealer in writing which tax rate your invoice will carry. What it costs to run

The case for a small EV is the running cost. Petrol is Rs 379.31 a litre from 22 October; use our fuel cost calculator to see what your current car spends a month, and the electricity bill calculator to see what home charging adds to your bill at your slab. If you are financing, the car loan calculator shows the monthly instalment on a Rs 2 million to Rs 3 million car.
