HEC US PhD scholarship 2027: $19,000 stipend, apply by 30 October
The US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor offers fully funded PhDs at QS top-100 US universities, with a second deadline of 30 March 2027 for Fall entry.
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) is taking applications for fully funded PhD scholarships in the United States under the US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor project, at universities in the QS World University Rankings top 100, ARY News reported on Monday 26 October 2026. The first deadline is Friday 30 October 2026, four days away.

- Create or log in to your account on the HEC scholarship portal, scholarship.hec.gov.pk.
- Fill in the application for the intake you want and upload your documents.
- Submit before the deadline and keep the confirmation.
If you are aiming for the 30 October deadline, start now and do not leave uploads to the last day. Students who miss it can prepare a stronger application, with admission offers in hand, for the March 2027 deadline.
Why it matters
The Knowledge Corridor is HEC's flagship scheme to train Pakistani researchers at leading American universities and strengthen links between the two countries' universities. A fully funded PhD at a top-50 US university is beyond the reach of almost any family paying from savings, so this is one of the most valuable scholarships open to Pakistani graduates.
