Alcaraz beats De Minaur 6-1, 6-4 to win Vienna, his fourth title of 2026 and 16-0 at ATP 500s
The Spaniard took the Erste Bank Open in 97 minutes without dropping a set all week, and heads to the Paris Masters on a 26-match ATP 500 winning run.

Carlos Alcaraz beat Alex de Minaur 6-1, 6-4 to win the Vienna Open on Sunday, his fourth title of 2026 and the 28th of his career, Reuters reported via Business Recorder. The final took 97 minutes, and the 23-year-old Spaniard did not drop a set in five matches all week.
The numbers
| Score | 6-1, 6-4 |
| Time | 97 minutes |
| Sets dropped in Vienna | 0 in 5 matches |
| Titles in 2026 | 4, including Doha, Tokyo and Vienna |
| Career titles | 28 |
| ATP 500 record in 2026 | 16-0 |
| ATP 500 winning streak | 26 matches |
| Head to head with De Minaur | 7 straight wins |
How the final went
Alcaraz broke De Minaur in the very first game and quickly had a double break. He punished every short ball, forced the errors and took the first set 6-1 in a hurry.
The Australian, 27, made more of a fight of the second set and stayed with Alcaraz for long spells, but the world number two kept attacking from all parts of the court and closed it out 6-4.
Alcaraz came to Vienna having won the ATP 500 events in Doha and Tokyo this year, and his perfect record at that level now stands at 16 wins from 16 matches in 2026. On the way to the final he beat Daniil Medvedev 6-4, 7-6 in the semi-finals.
What comes next
Both men move straight on to the Paris Masters next week. Alcaraz arrives there having already qualified for the season-ending ATP Finals in Turin, so for him Paris is about form and ranking points.
For De Minaur it matters more. He is still chasing a place in Turin, which would be his third ATP Finals in a row, and a deep run in Paris would go a long way.
Ferrero, the coach who guided Alcaraz to his first Grand Slams, is meanwhile joining the team of American Ben Shelton, Reuters also reported on Monday.
