Gold in Pakistan rose Rs 13,900 to Rs 426,036 a tola on Wednesday 4 November 2026, tracking a $139 jump in the world price to $4,035 an ounce. Business Recorder reported the rates, which come from the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

Gold price in Pakistan today, 4 November 2026

  • 24-carat, per tola: Rs 426,036 (up Rs 13,900 from Rs 412,136 on Tuesday).
  • 24-carat, per 10 grams: Rs 365,257 (up Rs 11,917).
  • Silver, per tola: Rs 5,663 (up Rs 295).
  • World price: $4,035 an ounce (up $139).

On Tuesday the local rate had not moved from Rs 412,136. Today's rise of about 3.4% reverses most of the fall we reported on 31 October, when gold lost Rs 15,900 in two days.

Why local gold moved so sharply

The local tola rate follows the ounce price and the dollar-rupee rate. The rupee was almost unchanged, closing at 276.70 against the dollar in the inter-bank market, so nearly all of today's move comes from the world price. Dealers update the sarafa rate through the day, so a shop in Lahore, Karachi or Peshawar may quote a slightly different figure, plus its own making charges.

What it means if you are buying or selling

For a buyer, a Rs 13,900 rise adds that much to every tola, before making charges. A bride's set of five tola costs about Rs 69,500 more than it did yesterday. For a seller, the same rise is the reverse. Ask the shop for the rate it is using and whether it is the sarafa rate or its own.

To convert tola, gram and carat rates, use our gold converter. If you hold gold and want to know whether you owe zakat, the zakat calculator and our zakat nisab guide use the current rates. The live history for every carat is on the 24-carat gold data page.

A note on the figures

The rate above is the APGJSA rate as reported at midday. The figure on our data page comes from an automatic reading and can differ from the sarafa rate by a few thousand rupees, because the sources update at different times. Treat the sarafa rate as the price shops use when they buy and sell.
