Petrol Rs 384.34 from today: a 40-litre tank now costs Rs 15,374
OGRA added Rs 4.10 to petrol and Rs 6.41 to diesel for 16 September, the seventh straight daily rise. Here is what a fill-up costs now, for bikes, cars and diesel users.

Petrol is Rs 384.34 a litre from today, 16 September, up Rs 4.10. High-speed diesel is Rs 415.83, up Rs 6.41. OGRA notified the new rates on Tuesday evening for the next 24 hours, the seventh straight increase under daily pricing.
Since daily pricing began, petrol has gained Rs 73.04 a litre and diesel Rs 86.32, according to OGRA's figures as reported by ProPakistani.
What a full tank costs now
| Fill | Today (Rs 384.34) | Yesterday (Rs 380.24) | Extra today |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bike, 10 litres | Rs 3,843 | Rs 3,802 | Rs 41 |
| 20 litres | Rs 7,687 | Rs 7,605 | Rs 82 |
| Small car, 35 litres | Rs 13,452 | Rs 13,308 | Rs 144 |
| 40 litres | Rs 15,374 | Rs 15,210 | Rs 164 |
| 50 litres | Rs 19,217 | Rs 19,012 | Rs 205 |
Before daily pricing started, the same 40 litres cost about Rs 12,452. The gap is now Rs 2,922 per fill.
Diesel users
| Fill | Today (Rs 415.83) | Yesterday (Rs 409.42) | Extra today |
|---|---|---|---|
| SUV or pickup, 60 litres | Rs 24,950 | Rs 24,565 | Rs 385 |
| 80 litres | Rs 33,266 | Rs 32,754 | Rs 513 |
| Tractor or truck, 200 litres | Rs 83,166 | Rs 81,884 | Rs 1,282 |
Diesel runs goods transport, tractors and tube wells, so each diesel rise feeds into freight rates and, over the following weeks, into food prices in city markets from Karachi to Peshawar.
